About 1410 Dupont Street — Fuse Condos
The Fuse Condos is one of those delightful buildings that manages to embrace both the old and the new. The 2017-built tower is certainly modern, as are the suites within it, yet it sits atop a distinctively historical base. In fact, Fuse is a 2-tower development, both of which rise from a common base: a former General Electric warehouse at 1410 Dupont St and 1420 Dupont St.
Neudorfer Corporation, the Toronto-based developer responsible for the building’s construction, is invested in the success of the surrounding community as much as the condo itself: the developer is already planning its next set of residential towers nearby.
Some prospective residents may be interested in downtown Toronto condos at 1410 Dupont St for the up-and-coming nature of the neighbourhood, however others simply covet the amenities offered to those living in the building. For example, residents living in Fuse have access to 32,000 square feet of green space just outside their homes. What’s more, over 11,000 square feet of amenities space can be found inside the building itself. Residents can relax in the yoga room, media room, or library, or they can spend time in the building’s gym or games room. The condo also boasts visitor parking and bike storage, as well as a rooftop garden atop the podium.
The Suites
Although 1420 Dupont Street contains 575 units, those hoping to raise a small army here will have to look elsewhere: That said, Toronto condos for sale in the building are comfortable for single professionals, couples, or even those with one or two children. Homes start at around 500 and reach to approximately 800 square feet, and contain anywhere from one bedroom to two bedrooms plus a den.
Regardless of the Fuse Condo's longstanding base, the tower and suites within it are modern as can be. Kitchens, for example, are equipped with stainless steel appliances, and open concept living spaces make these the perfect homes for those who love to host friends and family.
The Neighbourhood
The Dovercourt & Wallace Emerson-Junction neighbourhood has a certain charm to it, thanks to its former life as an industrial area. Recently, for example, restaurants and bars have begun to take advantage of disused warehouses along Geary Avenue; condo developers have also scooped up aging structures, converting them into popular Toronto lofts such as the Dominion Felt Works. A number of contemporary art galleries can also be found throughout the neighbourhood, such as Division Gallery, which is also situated inside a formerly industrial edifice.
Residents living at 1410 Dupont Street have access to plenty of independent retail businesses as well. From Portuguese churrasquerias to artisanal coffee shops, Dovercourt and Wallace Emerson-Junction has it all.
When it comes time to restock the pantry, residents at Fuse Condos have their pick between a number of large grocery stores. A Food Basics can be found at the corner of Dupont and Lansdowne, just steps from Fuse. Those who feel loyal to the FreshCo brand, on the other hand, can continue walking east along Dupont, until they find the Galleria Mall. Last but not least, an enormous Loblaws is just a short drive away, at the intersection of Bloor and Dundas West.
Transportation
Living so close to Bloor Street certainly has its perks: residents living at 1410 Dupont Street can use the Bloor-Danforth subway line to travel east and west throughout the city. Buses along Lansdowne and Dufferin also come in handy for those heading north or south, while the Dundas streetcar is also useful for anyone heading toward the downtown core.
Residents heading out of town are also in luck as the Bloor GO/UP station is a 15-minute walk away from Fuse. From here, it takes just 20 minutes to reach Pearson International Airport via the UP Express train.
