About 600 Queens Quay WQueens Harbour

Situated in the Waterfront neighbourhood near Toronto’s Entertainment District, the Queens Harbour Condos at 600 Queens Quay West are modern and comfortable at the same time. Waterfront condos for sale are ideal for residents who want to live close to the lake, while still having easy access to the downtown core. And with residents living just steps to streetcars, the Queens Harbour Condos are the perfect vessel from which residents can experience Toronto’s most popular venues.

Built in 2000, the Queens Harbour Condos are a set of matching mid-rise buildings, both with a façade of limestone, aquamarine glass, and metal accents, blending nicely with the surrounding waterfront properties. Western and southern exposures have fantastic views of the lake and nearby marinas, while north and east exposures offer vistas of the CN Tower and the rest of the downtown core.

There are convenient retail spaces and restaurants located on the ground floor of the building, in addition to the building’s amenities. The perks found within include a gym, a parking garage for residents and guests, guest suites, a party room, concierge and security services, a sauna, and a billiards room. And best off all (for some buyers at least), 600 Queens Quay West also permits small pets.

    The Suites

The Queens Harbour Condos stand at 11 storeys and hold 279 downtown Toronto condos, which range from approximately 450 square feet to almost 1,250 square feet. Suites come with one or two bedrooms, one or two bathrooms, and some suites also feature additional dens.

These homes feature smart layouts that utilize space exceptionally well. Some condos can feel cramped since floor space is such a commodity, especially this far downtown. But thanks to intelligent open-concept designs, 8-9 foot ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows, homes at 600 Queens Quay West feel spacious and bright.

Living spaces are finished with smooth ceilings, crown moulding, and hardwood floors. Kitchens have convenient breakfast bars for serving and dining, and are outfitted with stainless steel appliances and sleek cabinetry. As well, most units have private balconies, while even large terraces can be found on the uppermost floors, and all units have stacked washer and dryer units.

    The Neighbourhood

Above all else, the Queens Harbour Condos’ most attractive quality is its location. Living in the western end of downtown’s entertainment district means being within close reach of the city’s best venues for concerts, festivals, and sports, not to mention the abundant shopping and dining found around the Fashion District, or the nearby Liberty Village and King West. As well, a number of small and large grocery stores are just a brief walk away, along Queens Quay and Lake Shore Boulevard.

There really is no shortage of things to do and see around 600 Queens Quay West. Residents can visit Fort York historic sight, watch a film at the Tiff Bell Lightbox or Scotiabank Theatre, or check out what’s happening at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

There are also classes, galleries, events, and concerts at the Harbourfront Centre, as well as live performances at Roy Thompson Hall or the Royal Alexandra Theatre. And of course, residents live close to the CNE, BMO Field and Ricoh Coliseum, as well as Ontario Place.

Numerous Parks are also a short walk away from the building, including Coronation Park, Canoe Landing, Spadina Quay Wetlands, HTO Park, and Victoria Memorial Square Park. And residents can venture to the Toronto Island if they’re feeling particularly adventurous as well.

    Transportation

Residents of the Queens Harbour Condos literally have access to land, sea, and air travel, thanks to streetcar routes, ferries, and planes that land and take off from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Although it’s unlikely your daily commute will involve boats or airplanes, the Queens Quay streetcar stops just outside 600 Queens Quay West, and additional streetcar routes are available on Bathurst Street.

The PATH pedestrian walkway and Waterfront Trail make exploring the area by foot a breeze, and Union Station is about 10 minutes away when taking the streetcar. For motorists, the Gardiner Expressway is the nearest highway, accessible via Lake Shore Boulevard or Spadina Avenue.
